Lovely. The soft background and colorful flowers compliment the bird and the rusty pump. You've even caught the young birds' expression.
Judy Filarecki replied:
Thank you for enjoying the painting. Many people don't like the blue jay, but I think they are beautiful and I really enjoy the young ones.

I love Jays. We have Steller's Jays and Scrub Jays here. One of then has an ongoing relationship with one of our cats. When I have the door open the jay gets on the roof and squawks until Morris comes to sit by the screen then one squawks and the other meows and they keep it up for awhile each time. Not only are jays beautiful - they have personality!
Judy Filarecki replied:
That sounds like something my cat, Mozart, would do. I didn't get a chance to load the feeder this year, so the Jays didn't come around as much. Maybe next years.

Judy, you sent me a very nice comment on Nasturtiums. Because I am not very techy while trying to upload another piece it all scrambled and the new drawing got mixed up with Nasturtiums. Had to delete both the new and the other so lost your comment - didn't delete it.
Judy Filarecki replied:
Sorry you lost it. I'll repost it if you have loaded it again.

This is gorgeous. I love the eastern blue jay perched on thwe rusty old pump surrounded by flowers that fade softly into the background. Here in Fresno we have scrub jays I love to watch them and listen to them. They are among my favorite birds.

I'm g;ad there are some other people who enjoy the Jays. Some people have a dislike for them, but I enjoy watching their antics and love their colors.
